Minister of Economy Presides Over the 61st Edition of Capital do Móvel

Pedro Reis, Minister of Economy, will attend the opening session of the 61st edition of Capital do Móvel, taking place on Wednesday, June 12, at 4:00 PM at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion in Lisbon.
The opening ceremony will also be attended by:
- Humberto Brito, Mayor of Paços de Ferreira
- Rita Pacheco, President of the Paços de Ferreira Business Association
The country’s largest furniture and decoration fair runs until June 16, bringing together 30 major brands that will set the latest industry trends.
As Capital do Móvel celebrates its 40th anniversary, this iconic event will feature larger exhibition spaces to enhance the visitor experience.
It is worth noting that this year, the sector surpassed the milestone of 2 billion euros in international sales, prompting the launch of the “Portuguese Capital of Furniture” campaign, which aims to expand the presence of Portuguese furniture beyond borders.
At the national level, the sector consists of 4,487 furniture and mattress manufacturing companies, employing approximately 36,268 people.
