1st Agro-Industrial Fair of Paços de Ferreira
The Birth of the Capital do Móvel Brand

1984

The 1st Agro-Industrial Fair marked the beginning of a strong identity for Paços de Ferreira, leading to the creation of the "Capital do Móvel" brand. This initiative established the municipality as a national benchmark in the furniture sector, solidifying its reputation as the center of Portuguese furniture excellence.

Creation of the Industrial Association of the Municipality of Paços de Ferreira (AICPF)

1988

The foundation of AICPF marked a milestone in supporting the growth of local industry, uniting efforts to drive the development and competitiveness of businesses in Paços de Ferreira.

Construction of the Capital do Móvel Exhibition Park

1992

The construction of the Exhibition Park was a key milestone in establishing Paços de Ferreira as the epicenter of the furniture industry. This dedicated space serves as a hub for promotion and innovation, strengthening the sector’s national and international presence.

Inauguration and 1st Capital do Móvel Fair at the Exhibition Park

1994

With the opening of the Exhibition Park, the first Capital do Móvel Fair was held, establishing the event as a premier showcase for excellence in the furniture industry.

Creation of the Paços de Ferreira Business Association (AEPF)

1996

Implementation and Certification of the Quality Assurance System (NP EN ISO 9001:1995)
